Younique vs. Lashem

Fiber mascara is all the craze right now.  I had heard about it through a friend but wasn't exactly sure how it worked.  I have been invited to a few Younique parties but didn't attend.  A few weeks ago I was helping a friend get ready for a party and she told me she received Younique as a gift and hadn't tried it yet.  So, we went for it.  It was amazing!!  I already have long eyelashes, but have been wanting extensions for a while and occasionally wear falsies.  I knew I had found an easier, cheaper solution.  I was so excited to place my order the next time I got paid.  Then I heard about Lashem.  I did my research and and they are both around the same price.  So I went with Lashem because I was curious to try.  So here is my comparison of both products.

My first experience with Younique was awesome.  I really liked the product.  It comes in 2 tubes and there are 2 steps, first mascara then add the fibers.  The fibers come on a wand and easy to apply.  I thought that the fibers were a little loose on the wand and were falling around my eyes.  Since they are black, they will smear if you are not careful when you remove them.  After applying my lashes looked insane!  My lashes are naturally long but with the fibers on, my lashes were touching my eye brows.   I couldn't stop staring at how awesome they looked.  This product uses mostly natural or organic ingredients, along with non-toxic synthetics.

Now let's talk about Lashem.  This product comes in 1 tube and has 3 steps.  First, mascara, then the fibers, then another coat of mascara.  The fibers on this product are white.  So they are easier to see when applying.  These fibers to me were a little harder to get on.  They aren't as loose on the wand and it has thicker bristles.  It took a little longer to get them in place.  Once I got the second coat of mascara on they looked perfect.  This product is cruelty free and not tested on animals.  Plus, 3% of each sale is donated to Look Good Feel Better.

My overall thoughts on these 2 products are that I like them both!  They are both good quality products and last all day.  I think Younique gives a longer look and Lashem gives a fuller natural look.  Younique is harder to get because it's a direct sales company and you will need a Presenter to place the order.  Lashem can be ordered directly from the company website and also available at Nordstrom and Walgreens.

Have you heard of Poshmark?

I heard about Poshmark a few years ago.  I downloaded the app but didn't get much further than that.  A few weeks ago, the name resurfaced in my life.  I decided to re-download the app and see what it was really about.  It didn't take very long to be totally consumed and unable to focus on my work for the rest of the day.  First off, I was finding way to may items I wanted to purchase.  But secondly,  I could not wait to get home and rip my closet apart to start selling.  In recent years I have been unable to find anywhere that will take my used clothes.  I had a consignment shop in my hometown that was good enough for me constantly shop and get rid of items.  The lady that owned it had some health issues and closed.  That was a sad day for me.  I then moved to a bigger city and have struggled since then to be able to resell any of my items.  My closet has been suffering.  I know, "why don't you try Plato's Closet?".  That question is like nails on a chalk board to me!!  I have wasted many hours there to get $1 for a few items.  Not worth my time.  There are multiple upscale consignment shops around but they are so picky.  I can usually sell a few items here or there, but if its not a label then they wont take it. My budget can't handle labels only.  I wish.  So at this point I am digging deep and posting anything I can find that I have not worn.

Happy Poshing, from a clothes hoarding, former Coach addict turning 30 trying to find a new style and can't find a consignment shop to allow me to reinvest in a new wardrobe.
